Bull Terriers 101

Terrier group

The crossing of terriers with bulldogs produced breeds known to this day for their courage and stamina, and the English Bull Terrier is no exception. After bull-baiting and dog-fighting were outlawed, breeders sought to preserve the dog's feisty spirit while toning down its toughness. While the Bull Terrier is still generally not fond of other dogs, it is known today as a devoted companion and a bit of a clown. Still a bit much dog for beginners, the Bull Terrier is a courageous and loyal breed in the hands of those who provide consistent rules and fair training.
